WIK-Chemnitz 2015 – Technology attracts young researchers

On May 20 ELCON Systemtechnik GmbH participated in the 6th Wirtschafts- und Industriekontaktmesse (fair for economic and industrial contacts) at the Technische Universität Chemnitz (WIK-Chemnitz). ELCON representatives at the fair, which counted over 2.000 visitors and 82 exhibitors this year, were Patrick Morgner, Human Resources, and Martin Sperling, Technical Sales Support. They informed visitors about career opportunities at ELCON:

“People were queuing up in front of our booth. Many of them were interested in the research opportunities at our company. Notably remarkable was the response from international applicants of the masters courses Micro and Nano Systems, Automotive Engineering and Electrical Engineering,” Sperling reports.

“I had many interesting conversations with ambitious students and young graduates. On site, we already received 10 unsolicited applications. The influx of applications persists, so I am positive that we will be able to fill many of our open positions. We definitely raised awareness for our company and its advantages for students and graduates,” Morgner sums up the results of the WIK-Chemnitz for the company.

ELCON Systemtechnik GmbH offers the following dual courses of study: Business Administration, Technical Computer Science, Industrial Production and Electrical Engineering. The company is seeking for graduates and young professionals to fill positions in product management, software development and project management. Students have the chance to get to know the company via student jobs, internships and individual topics for their theses.
