PSR 040X

4 Wire Pairs Downconverter

for the Remote Powering System RPS 1600

The PSR 040X is a highly efficient remote counterpart for the PSC 1600 converting the incoming voltage down to 48 V for powering of active network components. The PSR 040X delivers up to 60 W via four feeding lines. To convert the full power of one PSC 1600 at the remote site four PSR 040X can be installed.

  • Power output: ≤ 60 W (4wp)
  • Up to 15 W per line @ 5 km range*
  • Nominal output voltage: 48 V DC
  • Nominal output current: 1.2 A DC (electronically regulated)
  • RFT-C feeding voltage: 140 – 380 V DC
  • RFT-C feeding current: < 60 mA (per each power sink)
  • Up to 92% power efficiency

System Integration

  • Required components at central office: PSC 1600
  • Small footprint (W x D x H): 220 mm x 170 mm x 54 mm
  • IP65 ingress protection
  • Surge protection acc. to ITU-T K.45
  • PSR 0401 – 4 RFT-C lines with 1 m cable fittings
  • PSR 0402 – 4 RFT-C lines with fast-access plug connectors

*assumed parameters: diameter of copper wire = 0.4 mm; wire resistance <1,500Ω

FTTC – Feeding of active components in street cabinets from central office site, e.g. micro-DSLAMs, VDSL2-ONU

FTTB/H – Feeding of active components in buildings from central offices or street cabinets, e.g. micro-DSLAMs, ONU (Eth or VDSL out), fibre switches

Mobile nodes – Providing remote power for small cell-nodes for 4G / 5G networks (eNodeB)

Power resilience for critical telecommunication applications, e.g. emergency lines, monitoring systems, CCTV
