“Shaping the future by yourself” – this was the slogan of the 17th KarriereStart, which took place from 23 – 25th January in Dresden. ELCON welcomed 32,000 visitors alongside with 400 other exhibitors. Elke Bräuer, Human Resources Manager at ELCON, is pleased with the rush of potential applicants: “The visitors were impressed by our company and the telecommunications industry. Our expectations were exceeded – subsequent to the trade fair we already received over 30 applications! It was a total success.”

Graduates were especially taken by the entry and development opportunities at the medium-size manufacturer from the Chemnitz region. ELCON trains industrial clerks and electrical engineers and also offers the following dual courses of study: business administration, computer engineering, industrial production and electrical engineering. Furthermore, ELCON is looking for dedicated employees for the fields of product management, software development, project management, quality management and assembly. The company is steadily growing. Major investments in research and development as well as the expansion of the headquarters in Hartmannsdorf prove that.

Specially for the KarriereStart, technical trainees of the company developed the game “Hot ELCON Wire”. This playful depiction of the transmission path between a telephone switch and an ELCON network terminating device turned out to be a visitor magnet. Those who were fast and made as few mistakes as possible, had good chances of cracking the daily record and winning a prize.

In the days following the KarriereStart, ELCON received promising applications for various divisions of the company. Flexible structures, flat hierarchies and very good career opportunities in an internationally growing company convinced the visitors at ELCON’s booth.
