The BIG CE product series is optimized for L3 data applications such as business internet access, cloud services, internet-based storage applications, connection of branch offices to the headquarters, as well as voice and data services within L2 Metro-Ethernet Networks (Carrier Ethernet Services).
The BIG 4862 product does expand the BIG CE product series towards 10 GbE connection and performance and do offer a much higher number of services. With the support of up to 1,000 managed services with full OAM and the doubled and hot swappable power supply this product fits perfectly into the environment of central locations like in headquarters or at network to network connection sites for wholesale and aggregation offerings.
