The BIG 5540 ISDN VoIP gateway links ISDN equipment, e.g. ISDN PBX, and analogue telephones to the IP world offering cost-effective communication with a superior quality of service. 4 ISDN S0 ports are available to connect ISDN voice and data equipment to the IP network. Additionally, 2 TAE (FXS) ports can be used to plug in analogue equipment. With up to 8 simultaneous connections the BIG 5540 provides a powerful solution for small businesses and call centres. By cascading two BIG 5540 gateways the number of ISDN S0 ports, TAE ports and VoIP channels can be doubled. The BIG 5540 supports legacy services, managed IP services and IP Centrex applications.
