Basic information

  • total duration of study: 3 years
  • Dual-system studies:
    • alternating
      • 3 months practical training in the company
      • 3 months theoretical lessons at the UCE
  • Reports and research papers have to be drafted during the practical training
  • At the end of the sixth semester the Bachelor thesis has to be written in the company to be then
    defended by the student.

Selection of in-company curriculum contents

Passing through relevant departments (Production, Work Preparation, Quality Assurance and Design
Engineering), participating in the solution of following tasks:

  • Evaluation of machinery and products with respect to assembly and maintenance
  • Evaluation of impacts which control the processing
  • Participation in drafting of work schedules
  • Troubleshooting, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and their assessment

Selection of UCE curriculum subjects

  • Basics of electrical engineering/ electrotechnology
  • Informatics for engineers
  • Designs and constructional sketches
  • Mathematics for engineers
  • Work preparation and business organization

Entry requirements

  • University entrance qualification
  • Good command of English language
  • Special interest in natural science (physics, chemisry and mathematics)
