Basic information
  • Duration of training: 3,5 years
  • Training in the ‘dual system’: Practical training is provided in the company and theoretical training in a part-time vocational school
  • Final examination is split in two parts:
    • Intermediate examination at the end of 2nd training year – written and oral tasks
    • Will be taken into account in the final result with 40%
    • Final examination in the middle of the 4th training year – practical, written and oral tasks
    • will be taken into account in the final result with 60%
Entry requirements
  • Practical interest and experiences (through hobbies, summer jobs or internships)
  • Certificate of general education (“Realschulabschluss”) or higher qualification
  • Solid knowledge of and good grades in natural sciences (physics, chemistry and mathematics)
  • Good command of English language

In-company training elements

While passing several company departments, the trainee gains valuable experiences to become well-prepared for a future job at albis-elcon.

Our full-time trainer as well as experienced training supervisors within the departments will support and monitor your professional learning progress.

Possible tasks include:

  • Participation in the realization of orders for devices and systems
  • Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of devices and systems
  • Operation of devices and systems for the transmission of analog and digital signals
  • Production of sample units and individual items
  • Drafting of production documents, e. g. wiring, installation and circuit diagrams
  • Planning, controlling and monitoring of production processes
Training elements in the vocational school

Selected learning elements and contents within the vocational school are as follows:

  • Basics of electricity, electronics and functional principles
  • Assembly and wiring of electromechanical and electronic equipment
  • PC technology, including programming of microcontrollers
  • Planning, manufacturing and launch of printed circuit boards and devices
